Navan Resources has announced a big increase in production from its base metal and gold mines in Spain and Bulgaria. Totaloutput in the fourth quarter of 1999 was the highest ever achieved by the group. Navan's production of zinc increased to 22,246 tonnes from 17,173 tonnes last year, copper production was up to 9,633 tonnes from 9,318 tonnes, lead to 4,107 tonnes from 3,068 tonnes, while gold production rose to 59,908 ounces from 52,260 ounces.
