One of the likely bidders for the next mobile phone licence in the Republic, the Orange network, is reported to be experiencing problems in Northern Ireland.

An expensive marketing campaign has not found favour with nationalist residents who have gone cold at the sight of huge billboards declaring "the future is Orange". One radio programme is said to have advised the company on a new marketing campaign, offering a free sash with every phone.
