MR Pat Molloy, who is retiring as chief executive of the Bank of Ireland next January, has been appointed as a non-executive director of CRH Group. The announcement was made by the CRH board yesterday.

Mr Molloy also takes over as non-executive chairman of the board of the Bristol & West Building Society in January.
