Microsoft Ireland has launched the company's BackOffice Small Business Server, a solution that offers an integrated set of business applications for small businesses. BackOffice is tailored specifically to help build Internet presence, improve communications, and run businesses more efficiently.

Designed for businesses with up to 25 PCs, BackOffice aims to address cost and complexity issues that have previously hampered offices in maximising Internet and intranet computing. Now they can share information and communicate with customers via the Internet. Modem pooling and an integrated fax server were also added.
