MEMBERS of the life and pensions company Scottish Amicable yesterday voted to accept a £2.15 billion takeover offer by insurance giant Prudential. But only a third of the Stirling based company's 1.1 million members cast their vote to transfer its business to the Pru, which will result in ScotAm members receiving an average £1,400 windfall in cash and bonuses.
