It’s by no means a big win in financial terms for the agency which counts Heineken, Lyon’s Tea and Liberty Insurance among its clients, but it’s one that Richard Carr, client director at the Dublin-based agency, was happy to hang on to.

Rothco has worked with the university for the past five years and he admits that the budget is modest.

“The communication is aimed at 17-18-year- olds, people who are filling out CAO forms, so it’s targeted and mostly run on digital platforms. It’s highly measurable – we can see how many people click through from our Facebook campaign to the university site so we’ve seen from previous campaigns that it works.”

NUI Maynooth obviously thought so, too.
