FOUR COMPANIES were yesterday honoured as the first recipients of the “Business Working Responsibly” mark at the fourth annual CEO forum hosted by Business in the Community.

The certification, which is audited by the National Standards Authority of Ireland, is the first of its kind in Ireland.

Announcing the recipient companies, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said that the certifications marked “the first independent assessment of corporate responsibility in Ireland”.

More than 120 business leaders attended Business in the Community’s fourth annual CEO forum in the Guinness storehouse.

Founded in 2000, Business in the Community Ireland is an association which helps promote corporate responsibility among some of Ireland’s largest companies.
