Independent postal services provider CityPost has acquired direct mail distribution company Publicity Mailing for an undisclosed sum.

Publicity Mailing employs 165 staff and contractors, and is one of the largest direct mail distributors in the State, delivering to more than half a million letterboxes a week.

CityPost managing director Ian Glass said the acquisition would substantially increase the group’s network capabilities. CityPost employs 188 staff in Ireland and last week announced the creation of a further 180 roles.

The acquisition of Publicity Mailing will bring its total headcount to more than 530 people over the next 18 months.
