AN Irishman, Mr Brendan Keegan, has been appointed senior vice president, human resources, of Marriott International Inc.

Mr Keegan, a graduate of UCD, Clonliffe College, and the Catholic University of America, will be responsible for the company's worldwide human resource functions. Marriott, which has hotels, holiday resort complexes, food service divisions and old peoples homes, employs 225,000 people worldwide.
