The Greenspan factor proved to be short lived on the Dublin market yesterday with prices showing little change. Investors shrugged off the Federal Reserve chairman, Mr Alan Greenspan's warning about stock markets and the possibility of higher interest rates.

However, in the US the Dow Jones industrial index fell almost 60 points yesterday, hammered by a major sell off in technology shares and remaining pressure from Mr Greenspan's warning. Page 23
