Weakness in the major financial shares dragged the Irish market lower with the ISEQ index closing just above the 2300 level. The weakness in Dublin was matched by lower prices on international markets. The main item of interest in Dublin was a £60 million corporate bond issue from Irish Permanent, the first corporate bond issue since the spilt between the Dublin and London exchanges.
