AN apparently unstoppable stock market bounded to its sixth straight day of record highs yesterday after a report on producer prices reinforced a widespread confidence that inflation remains under control.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 70.57 points to close at 7,782.04, after almost touching 7,800 one day after the bluechip barometer broke the 7,600 and 7,700 marks.

The bluechip average is up more than 20 per cent so far this year.

Advancing issues led decliners by a 2 to 1 margin all day on the New York Stock Exchange, where volume was strong at more than 500 million shares.
