Frankfurt DAX: 2646.10 (+21.66)

The German market finished at an all time closing high, thanks mainly to strong Wall Street performances and a firm dollar.

Commerzbank said the DAX could break through the 2,700 level within six months.

Paris CAC-40: 2079.46 (-2.87)

French shares closed slightly lower in profit taking ahead of the monthly settlement on Monday.

For the week, the CAC index was down 0.4 per cent as the bourse consolidated its strong previous gains. Volume yesterday was 4.23 billion francs.

Milan Mibtel: 9637 (+50)

Italian shares ended higher. Shares in Telecom Italia Mobile rose 2.07 per cent when first half results came in ahead of expectations.
