Frankfurt shares made further gains in after-hours electronic trading, with the IBIS Dax soaring to 3161 as investors responded enthusiastically to the US non-farm jobs report and Wall Street's enthusiastic reaction to the benign figures. And with Wall Street up over 1 per cent as Frankfurt closed for the week, dealers see further gains next week.

Paris CAC-40: 2597.52 (+39.09)

French shares set another record high after rallying on the back of the rise on Wall Street, the US jobs report and the strength of the dollar.

Milan Mibtel: 12799 (+234)

The Milan market closed sharply higher buoyed by the good news from across the Atlantic while the Kohl-Prodi summit tried to settle worries over Italy's EMU entry.
