Irish shares traded up marginally in thin trading, with, most of the gains notched up by second-line stocks. US data brought a resurgence of support for London equities, but that subsequently petered out in the afternoon with market-makers complaining of "indigestion" in the market, linked to a further brace of programme trades as the FTSE 100 gave up its gains to close down on the session.
