European bourses failed to find much new momentum in late trading yesterday with London following a choppy Wall Street up and down, while Frankfurt ended off a record high. Dublin closed up 0.35 per cent with the ISEQ at 2331.38. The Dow index started in New York with a 20 point drop on news that US unemployment claims had fallen 23,000 in the week to 359,000, the lowest level since mid January. P19
