TWO out of every five Irish managers say that their working environments is extremely stressful and most believe that the future will be even more stressful, according to a survey by Reuters Ireland.

More than four out of every five managers find it necessary to take work home or work longer hours in order to keep up, while 56 per cent are forced to cancel social activities due to excess work, according to the survey.

The survey also shows that 70 per cent of managers are too tired for leisure activities because of information overload, while 38 per cent claim to suffer ill health because they do not have time for diet or exercise. And 59 per cent admit their personal relationships also suffer.
