Geographic systems provider Magellan has announced a new device which can send and receive email from anywhere in the world, using satellite communications.

Besides a small keypad and three-by-three inch graphical screen, the GSC 100 also contains a geographical positioning system (GPS) which can pinpoint its exact location and give directions to 200 saved locations. It is expected to cost around $1,000.
