LLOYD'S of London yesterday confirmed it made a profit of just over £1 billion sterling in 1994. The insurance market's profit of £1.1 billion compares with a profit in 1993 of £1.08 billion. Lloyd's, which publishes its accounts three years in arrears, was saved from collapse last year with a £3.2 billion settlement offer to hard pressed members of the insurance market known as Names.
