The Institute of Bankers in Ireland has introduced an Internet-based online library service for members. Through www.instbank.ie members can access the full text of current and back issues of more than 2,000 of the world's major banking, finance and business journals. The institute plans to extend the scope of the library and create a "virtual" banking and finance resource centre soon.
