Kerry Group has said the decision by the British government to refer the sale of the Spillers flour milling business to Tomkins to the Monopolies and Merger Commission has no impact on Kerry. "The disposal to Tomkins was completed in March and we are not affected by the MMC referral," said a Kerry spokesman.

Kerry initially bought the Spillers business as part of the £394 million acquisition of Dalgety Food Ingredients. It subsequently sold the Spillers flour business to Tomkins for £92 million.
