KBC Group has completed its acquisition of Ulster Bank Investment Managers (UBIM) from the Ulster Bank group for €105 million. UBIM has €7.6 billion under management and will trade as KBC Asset Management. In a statement yesterday, its chief executive, Mr Gavin Caldwell, said it was certain that by utilising the strengths of the KBC group it could add significant value in the Irish market.
