ESB Fund Managers is to form an alliance with JP Morgan in an attempt to gain an advantage in the management of foreign assets. Under the arrangement, JP Morgan will manage a significant portion of the ESB pension fund, which is one of the largest in the Republic.

Under the alliance, JP Morgan will manage international equity assets on behalf of ESB Fund Managers, while both companies will engage in joint marketing for Irish pension funds.
