THE Bank of Italy cut its discount rate by 0.75 points to 7.5 per cent with effect from Thursday, the bank said yesterday

THE Bank of Italy cut its discount rate by 0.75 points to 7.5 per cent with effect from Thursday, the bank said yesterday. "In the period from July to October, inflation has fallen, even allowing for variations from one month to the next," the bank said.
