AN article in the editions of November 12th detailed the loss suffered by Irish Press plc in the year to last March. A heading to the article may have implied that payments of £150,000 plus £18,000 in fees were paid by Irish Press Newspapers Ltd to its directors in fact, as was clear from the full report and main heading, the references were to directors of Irish Press plc. The heading also referred to the company's three directors. Irish Press plc had four directors in the course of the financial year, one of whom resigned as a director on November 14th, 1995.
