TALKS to resolve the dispute between Irish Life and its sales staff continued this week at the Labour Relations Commission with both sides reporting some progress.

Both sides "are being constructive but progress is slow because there are difficult issues to resolve", a company spokesman said. "We are moving in the right direction, albeit at a slow pace," he added.

The MSF union, representing the 320 sales employs who were suspended in early February, said that progress was slow.
