Irish companies are increasingly able to compete with the rest of the world to secure quality candidates due an overall rise in salaries as a consequence of the recent success of the economy, a survey shows.

Recruitment consultancy Robert Walters found salaries in the accountancy, commerce and banking ranged between £14,000-60,000.

In accountancy newly qualified accountants are paid £28,000-32,000 while financial controllers are paid £45,000-£60,000.
