Investor compensation call

The Consumers' Association of Ireland has called for increases in the level of investor compensation

The Consumers' Association of Ireland has called for increases in the level of investor compensation. According to the CAI, the £16,000 statutory investor's compensation is inadequate. It is calling for a voluntary investor compensation trust to bolster any future scheme.

The association is calling for an independent forum. Participating firms could market their involvement on this "most sensitive consumer issue" it said.
