The 1,100 subscribers to the Internet access provider, Internet Eireann, are being offered the chance to transfer to rival access provider Indigo following Internet Eireann's decision to cease trading. Indigo claims the new subscribers will boost its customer base to almost 5,000, making it the second largest access provider after Ireland Online.

Internet Eireann decided to cease trading after one of its suppliers, SM Communications, obtained a judgment of £16,000 against it.
