A FULL Dail debate on the Deloitte and Touche report on insurance costs has been called for by the Fianna Fail spokesman on commerce, Mr Ned O'Keeffe.

Mr O'Keeffe said that while in his statement, Commerce, Science and Technology Minister, Mr Pat Rabbitte, had said the Government had decided to set up a working party to examine whether a personal injuries tribunal can be established, he was representing this in the media as if the tribunal was to be set up shortly.

"At the rate Minister Rabbitte has moved on the issue of insurance costs up to now, it is reasonable to believe that nothing will happen before the election," Mr O'Keeffe said.
