ROYAL and Sun Alliance yesterday announced the appointment of Mr Harold Wann as general manager of its Irish operation. Mr Wann (58), a native of Dublin, has headed the Sun Alliance operation in Ireland since 1981. Royal Insurance and Sun Alliance announced their merger in May.
Royal and Sun Alliance accounts for more than 13 per cent of the Irish non life market, with net annual premium income in excess of £145 million.
The appointment is the first in a series of steps being taken to develop the various constituent parts of the Irish organisation, according to the company.
