INDUSTRIAL production in Ireland fell by 2.7 per cent in September, according to seasonally adjusted figures produced by the Central Statistics Office. The decline followed a 1.4 per cent increase in the previous month. The figures also show that manufacturing production fell by 0.3 per cent in September after rising by 1.3 per cent in August.
