DUBLIN Airport is enjoying one of its best years ever figures published by Aer Rianta yesterday reveal. The airport has already handled nearly eight million passengers, an increase of 13 per cent on the first 10 months of 1995. Passenger numbers during October were 11 per cent up on the same month last year, with 773,942 people travelling through the airport. Traffic to and from British destinations grew by 9 per cent, with 501,579 passengers. There was an improvement of 21 per cent in transatlantic flights (39,521 passengers) and an 11 per cent increase in traffic to European destinations (185,656 passengers).
