MR Fergus Sheridan has been appointed managing director of the Irish Futures and Options Exchange. Mr Sheridan has been chairman of IFOX for the past two years and is also chairman of Strategic Risk Management.

He is replacing Mr Michael Whelan who is joining CSK - Quay Financial Software. Mr Ronan O'Donoghue, of Bank of Ireland Asset Managers, has been appointed chairman of the exchange.
