IFG Group, the financial services company, was "well placed" to record further growth in 1996, said chairman, Mr Joe Moran, at yesterday's annual general meeting.

IFG acquired an Isle of Man based trustee services company, Europa, for Pounds 1.1 million sterling in May. This was "very significant", IFG chief executive, Mr Richard Hayes, said after the meeting. Europa was now being integrated with the rest of the group.

IFG increased its profit before tax by 5.3 per cent from Pounds 1,019,000 in 1994 to Pounds 1,073,000 in 1995.
