It is right for Ireland to join the single currency even if Britain stays out, the director general of ICOS, Mr John Tyrrell said yesterday. The interests of the Irish agricultural sector were best served by joining the euro despite the uncertainty which the British decision would cause, according to Mr Tyrrell.
