IBM buys semiconductor manufacturers CommQuest

IBM has said it has acquired California semiconductor maker CommQuest for undisclosed terms

IBM has said it has acquired California semiconductor maker CommQuest for undisclosed terms. CommQuest, a privately-held company based in Encinitas, California, creates advanced semiconductors for wireless communications applications such as cellular phones and satellite communications.

IBM plans to integrate Commquest into its communications chip division, the company said in a release from its Armonk, New York headquarters.
