A £2 million extension to the Summerhill Hotel in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, resulted in 50 extra bedrooms and doubled the number of people employed there to 40, according to the owner.

Ms Lorraine Sweeney, who is also the chairperson of the Small Firms Association (SFA), said that north Co Wicklow suffered from a hotels shortage which would be alleviated by the enlarged hotel, officially reopened by the Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Ms Harney.
