UBS AG and Crédit Suisse Group AG, Switzerland's biggest banks, passed stress tests that included a slump in financial markets and "very sharp shocks" in some European states, the country's financial regulator said. The two Zurich-based banks' tier-one capital ratio was above the 8 per cent required to pass the test, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority said in a statement. The Swiss banks did not participate in the EU stress tests.
