Hibernian Investment Managers has signalled a continued underperformance by the ISEQ Index for some time yet, largely due to the lack of interest from overseas investors in the Irish market. In its latest portfolio report, Hibernian cautions that ongoing concerns in relation to the weighting of shareholdings held by Irish institutions of Irish stocks, combined with evidence of emerging cost pressures, are likely to lead to the Irish market lagging its peers.

The European market is its preferred equity market, with the group taking an overweight position in European stocks. It recently began to increase its holdings of US stocks.
