Heiton Holdings will open a new 31,000 sq ft Atlantic Homecare outlet in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, later this year. The DIY outlet will be the anchor retail tenant at the Lake Point campus outside Mullingar, the company announced yesterday. Earlier this year, Heiton announced that a new 35,000 sq ft Atlantic Homecare outlet was to open in Newbridge, Co Kildare, in early summer.

The completion of both premises will bring the total number of outlets to nine.

The DIY market is growing at 12 per cent per annum, according to the company, driven by increased prosperity and a strong consumer focus on home improvement.

Atlantic Homecare "has generated strong profit growth in the past 12 months on the back of this rising demand", the company said in a statement.
