Grand Metropolitan, the drinks giant which is trying to shrug off the unwanted attentions of French rival LVMH, is to save £33 million by changing the way it will pay its interim dividend this year.

The group said it planned to pay a Foreign Income Dividend (FID) of 6.25p a share in October in order to be able to reclaim tax paid overseas back from the Inland Revenue. - (PA)
