CONSTRUCTION of African Gold's Beehive gold mine in Zimabwe is underway, according to chairman Dr John Teeling. In an interim statement, Dr Teeling says plans envisaged the start of gold production during the second quarter of 1997; Gold production at the company's Inez project was maintained at 2,200 ounces in the first six months. Dr Teeling says it will move up to its target of 800 ounces a month in the second half.
