Jurys Hotels has been granted planning permission to build its new hotel in Manchester. The new 260-room Jurys Inn will be built on a three-quarters of an acre site close to Manchester's new international conference hall and the GMEX Exhibition Centre. The hotel, which is larger than expected, is due to open in May 1999 at a cost of £15.6 million or £60,000 a room.
