Foods group Glanbia has opened one of the biggest cheese plants in the world. The $33 million (€35 million) Gooding, Idaho plant expansion, has the capacity to produce 85,000 tonnes of cheese and 40,000 tonnes of specialised dairy ingredients. Cheese output from the Gooding plant is equivalent to Ireland's entire hard cheese production.
