IRISH giftware producers have begun a campaign to capture the corporate gift market, worth about £20 million a year. The manufacturers, from both north and south of the Border, have contributed to a new Irish Trade Board catalogue of gifts which will be sent to 15,000 potential buyers through the These include the top 1,500 companies in the South, the top 1,000 companies in the North, and 350 golf clubs across Ireland.

Launching the campaign, the Minister for Tourism and Trade, Mr Kenny, said the all Ireland gift market was worth £200 million a year. Corporate giftware was a valuable and expanding niche sector, and the catalogue would help buyers identify Irish products and suppliers, he added.

The range includes crystal, pottery, fashion items, jewellery, art and sculpture, books and hampers.
