A new residential phone service which claims it could reduce bills by up to 70 per cent has been launched by Genesis Technologies, a Cork-based Internet Service Provider, in a joint venture with Interoute Ireland.

The service will offer an all-day, every-day price scheme and include international calls which the companies claims are cheaper than its rivals.

The package, which will be offered to Genesis customers from mid-April, will be billed monthly and customers will access the service by prefix only.
