Esat Telecom chief operations officer Ms Lucy Gaffney (39) will step down from her post, it has been confirmed. Ms Gaffney took over the role last year, before British Telecom bought the group in a deal worth more than $2.5 billion. She had previously been in charge of Esat Home, which was the company's offering to residential customers and made more than $9 million when Esat was sold.
