AIM-listed zinc explorer Connemara Mining said yesterday it has discovered another high-grade zinc-lead mineralisation in Limerick.

The character of the drill results suggest either a significant extension to the zone or the discovery of a new zone, the firm said.

“The fact that these high-grade results are at the same depth as Stonepark North and of similar geological character suggests an extension. While it is still early days the evidence is pointing toward a significant ore body at Stonepark/Stonepark North,” said John Teeling, chairman of Connemara Mining.
