ICS Building Society has introduced a new fixed rate mortgage which allows borrowers to switch to a variable rate without penalty if interest rates fall below 5.75 per cent. The Flexi-Fix mortgage has been designed to give borrowers the opportunity to benefit from drops in variable interest rates expected with the introduction of the euro. The new mortgage, which is being offered at a rate of 5.75 per cent, will be available from Monday.
